The play on words in the name Red Eye Photography® is by no means a reflection on the quality of our work but rather a testament to our unique style and sense of humor. The idea for the name came about when we began 'moonlighting' as photographers, using prior training and interest to create intriguing images for business acquaintances. Very quickly the demand for our work turned the 'moonlighting' into a full-time business, but the name Red Eye Photography stuck. Collectively, we have over 25 years of professional photographic experience, not including the lifelong love of photographic experiments that span into our childhoods. Our photography has been featured on the BBC website and has been used in numerous commercial print and digital applications.

our approach
We pride ourselves on a less traditional and more contemporary approach to photographic style. Some people refer to our style as 'fashion' photography or as having a 'photojournalistic style' (something you might see in a magazine). No matter what you call it or how you refer to it, it is always very free, very creative and very true to the subject being photographed. We use 'posing' lightly, suggesting a place for a person or group to sit or stand and letting them arrange themselves as they feel comfortable. When it comes to large events and weddings, we try to make ourselves invisible, constantly snapping photos of guests and attendants to create a very natural feel in the photographs taken.

Our equipment is always diverse, ranging from top-of-the-line digital cameras to SLR cameras from the 1960s. Sometimes we even include cameras from the 1930s and 40s, and we may even throw in a toy camera for creativity's sake. Often times we carry several cameras at once. This allows us to provide you with a well-rounded and very beautiful representation of you and/or your event.

We try to remain open minded and quick thinking, allowing Red Eye Photography to provide the image, style and representation you are looking for.

When photographing larger events and weddings, Red Eye Photography takes an active approach by providing an adequate number of photographers. We understand that large groups of people cannot always be captured by one photographer and at times two or more photographers are necessary to capture the true feeling of an event.
